Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 cup fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, cubed
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, spinach, garlic, salt, black pepper, egg, and breadcrumbs. Mix until well combined.
- Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it into a disk. Place a cube of mozzarella in the center, then wrap the meat around it to form a ball.
- Repeat with the remaining meat mixture and cheese.
- In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add meatballs and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
- Transfer the browned meatballs to a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes, or until cooked through.
- Remove from oven and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
