Ingredients
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 2 green bell peppers, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, minced
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Instructions
- In a bowl, marinate the sliced steak with soy sauce, oyster sauce, cornstarch, and black pepper. Set aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the steak and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Sauté onions and bell peppers until they start to soften, approximately 3 minutes.
- Add the garlic and ginger to the skillet and stir-fry for another minute until fragrant.
- Return the steak to the skillet. Add beef broth, sesame oil, and sugar, stirring everything to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, letting the sauce thicken slightly.
- Adjust the seasoning with additional soy sauce if needed. Serve hot over steamed rice.
