Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make these Orange Creamsicle Cookies ahead of time?

Yes, you can prepare the dough in advance. Chill it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days before baking. You can also freeze the baked and cooled Orange Creamsicle Cookies in an airtight container for up to 3 months.

How do I get a strong orange flavor in my cookies?

For a vibrant orange taste, use both orange zest and orange extract. The zest provides a fresh, natural citrus oil, while the extract intensifies the flavor, perfectly capturing the classic creamsicle taste in your Orange Creamsicle Cookies.

Why are my cookies spreading too much while baking?

Excessive spreading often means your dough was too warm. Ensure your butter is properly softened, not melted, and chill the dough for at least 30 minutes before baking. This helps the Orange Creamsicle Cookies keep their shape.
