Classic Chicken Divan – Creamy and Comforting Recipe

For the Crust:
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 4 cups fresh broccoli florets, steamed
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Arrange steamed broccoli florets in the bottom of the baking dish. Layer cooked chicken over the broccoli.
- In a medium bowl, mix together cream of chicken soup, mayonnaise, sour cream, lemon juice, and curry powder. Pour the sauce evenly over the chicken and broccoli.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the sauce. In a small bowl, combine breadcrumbs and melted butter, then sprinkle over the cheese.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly. Let stand for 5 minutes before serving.
