Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 cans (14.5 ounces each) diced tomatoes
  • 1 can (15 ounces) kidney beans, drained
  • 1 can (15 ounces) black beans, drained
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Transfer the beef to the slow cooker. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and green bell pepper.
  3. Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Set the slow cooker to low and cook for 6-8 hours, stirring occasionally to blend the flavors.
  5. Serve hot with your favorite chili toppings.
