Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix together the flour, yeast, salt, and sugar.
  2. Add olive oil and warm water, mixing until a rough dough forms.
  3. Add minced garlic and rosemary, kneading the dough until smooth and elastic.
  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour, or until doubled in size.
  5. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and place a cast-iron skillet inside to heat.
  6. Punch down the risen dough and form it into a round loaf.
  7. Carefully remove the hot skillet, grease it lightly, and place the dough inside.
  8. Brush the top with olive oil and sprinkle with coarse sea salt.
  9. Bake in the oven for 30 minutes or until golden brown and crusty.
