No Peek Beef: The Ultimate Hands-Off Comfort Food

There’s something magical about walking into a home filled with the rich aroma of slowly cooked beef. Today, I’m sharing one of my favorite hands-off recipes that delivers incredible flavor with minimal effort – No Peek

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds chuck roast, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of celery soup
  • 1 packet dry onion soup mix
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cups baby carrots
  • 1 pound baby potatoes
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C)
  2. In a large casserole dish or Dutch oven, combine cream of mushroom soup, cream of celery soup, onion soup mix, and beef broth. Stir until well mixed
  3. Add the cubed beef to the mixture and stir to coat thoroughly
  4. Add chopped onions, carrots, and potatoes to the dish. Season with garlic powder and black pepper
  5. Cover tightly with aluminum foil or a heavy lid. Remember: No peeking during cooking!
  6. Bake for 3 hours without opening the oven door or removing the lid
  7. After 3 hours, remove from oven and let rest for 10 minutes before serving
