Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken and Green Beans Skillet

A one-pan dish featuring tender chicken and crisp green beans in a rich lemon garlic butter sauce.

For the Crust:

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 lb fresh green beans, trimmed
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 lemon, juiced and zested
  • 1 tsp dried thyme
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup chicken broth

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  2. Melt 2 tbsp butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes per side until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add remaining butter, garlic, and green beans. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until beans are crisp-tender.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up any browned bits. Simmer for 2 minutes.
  5. Return chicken to the skillet, spooning sauce over it. Sprinkle with lemon zest and serve immediately.
