A simple and flavorful Southern-style fried cabbage dish that makes a perfect side or main.

For the Crust:
- 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Cook bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon, leaving drippings in pan.
- Add onion to skillet and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes. Add garlic and cook 30 seconds more.
- Add chopped cabbage, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Cook cabbage, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly browned, about 12-15 minutes.
- Stir in apple cider vinegar and cooked bacon. Cook 1 minute more.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
