  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup soda syrup or soda-flavored extract (optional, for extra flavor)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well between each addition. Mix in the vanilla extract and soda.
  4. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

  7. Drop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
