Chili Cheese Dog Bake

A comforting casserole combining all-beef hot dogs wrapped in pizza dough with cheese, baked on a bed of chili and topped with garlic butter. Ready in less than 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 15 oz chili, heated
  • 1 pizza crust, Pillsbury refrigerated classic
  • 4 Cheddar cheese sticks
  • 4 hot dogs, all-beef
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon parsley flakes

Instructions

  1. Heat oven to 375°F. Spray 9-inch square or 11×7-inch glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  2. Pour hot chili into dish and spread evenly.
  3. Unroll dough and cut into 4 strips. Cut cheese sticks in half lengthwise.
  4. Place one cheese stick half on each side of one hot dog. Wrap pizza dough strip around cheese and hot dog, overlapping slightly in center.
  5. Repeat with remaining dough strips, cheese sticks, and hot dogs. Place wrapped hot dogs on top of hot chili.
  6. Bake 15 to 20 minutes or until dough is golden brown on top and cooked through underneath.
  7. Microwave butter on High until melted. Stir in garlic powder and parsley.
  8. Remove baking dish from oven and brush butter mixture on top of each cheese dog.
  9. Serve immediately.

Notes

For extra cheesy results, cut hot dogs in half and wrap each half in a whole piece of crescent dough for more bread coverage. Chili must be hot when hot dogs are placed on top. Leftovers can be refrigerated and reheated.
