Best Peach Dump Cake – simple, sweet, and absolutely delicious

This easy peach dump cake is made by simply layering canned peaches, cake mix, and butter in a pan and baking until golden and bubbly. It’s warm, gooey, buttery, and perfect for a quick dessert.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (29-ounce) can sliced peaches in heavy syrup, undrained
  • 1 box yellow cake mix (15.25 ounce size)
  • ¾ cup butter, sliced into 24 thin pats

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread peaches with liquid evenly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Sprinkle dry cake mix evenly over the peaches without stirring.
  3. Arrange butter slices evenly over the cake mix. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly around the edges. Let cool slightly before serving warm with ice cream or whipped cream.

Notes

For extra flavor, sprinkle cinnamon over peaches before adding cake mix. Use fresh peaches by substituting 4 cups peeled diced peaches, ⅓ cup sugar, and ¼ cup water, macerated for 20 minutes. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat in microwave.
