Don’t Tell the Doctor Dip

A creamy, cheesy, and bacon-loaded ranch-flavored dip that’s perfect for serving with chips, veggies, or baguette slices. This popular dip combines cream cheese, butter, sour cream, mayonnaise, ranch seasoning, bacon, and cheddar cheese for an irresistible appetizer.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 stick butter, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • ½ cup real mayonnaise
  • 1 oz dry ranch seasoning (usually 1 packet)
  • 1 cup cooked and chopped bacon
  • 8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • Chopped green onions for topping

Instructions

  1. Set aside one tablespoon of cooked and chopped bacon for garnish.
  2. Mix cream cheese and butter with a mixer until well blended.
  3. Add sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning, then blend well using a spatula or mixer.
  4. Fold in the remaining bacon and shredded cheddar cheese.
  5. Spoon the mixture into a serving bowl.
  6. Top with the reserved bacon and chopped green onions.
  7. Serve with Frito scoops, potato chips, tortilla chips, sliced bell peppers, carrot sticks, or toasted baguette slices.

Notes

1. For best flavor, allow the dip to chill in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. 2. You can substitute cheddar cheese with any preferred shredded cheese for variety. 3. If you want a lighter version, reduce the amount of butter or use light sour cream and mayonnaise.
