Texas Roadhouse Rolls

Soft, buttery yeast rolls served with a sweet cinnamon honey butter, inspired by the famous restaurant.

For the Crust:

  • 2 1/4 tsp active dry yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 cup milk, warmed
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • For Honey Butter: 1/2 cup butter, 1/4 cup honey, 1/4 cup powdered sugar, 1 tsp cinnamon

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Dissolve yeast in warm water with a pinch of sugar; let sit 5 minutes until foamy.
  2. In a large bowl, combine milk, melted butter, sugar, egg, and salt. Mix in yeast mixture. Gradually add flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead dough on floured surface 5-7 minutes until smooth. Place in greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1 hour or until doubled.
  4. Punch down dough and divide into 12-15 rolls. Place in greased baking pan, cover, and let rise 30 minutes.
  5. Bake at 350°F for 15-18 minutes until golden. Brush with melted butter. For honey butter, beat all ingredients until smooth. Serve rolls warm with honey butter.

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
