For the Crust:

  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in vanilla.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Fold in chocolate chips.
  5. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  6. Bake for 9-11 minutes or until edges are golden but centers are still soft. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to wire racks.
