Description

A fruity twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of ladyfingers, mascarpone cream, and fresh strawberries.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, sliced
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a mixing bowl, beat heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  2. Gently fold in mascarpone cheese until fully combined.
  3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled coffee and layer them in a 9×9 inch dish.
  4. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers, then top with half of the sliced strawberries.
  5. Repeat layers with remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and strawberries.
  6. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
  7. Dust with powdered sugar just before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
