Strawberry Tiramisu

Description

A fruity twist on the classic Italian dessert, featuring layers of ladyfingers, fresh strawberries, and creamy mascarpone.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 24 ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 1/2 cups mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup strawberry juice or syrup
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a bowl, mix sliced strawberries with lemon juice and 2 tbsp sugar. Set aside to macerate for 15 minutes.
  2. Whip the heavy cream with remaining sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Fold in mascarpone cheese.
  3. Dip ladyfingers briefly in strawberry juice and layer in a dish. Top with half the cream mixture, then half the strawberries.
  4. Repeat layers, ending with cream. Garnish with reserved strawberry slices.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
