Strawberry Pretzel Salad

A sweet and salty layered dessert with a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy filling, and strawberry topping.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 3/4 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 8 ounces whipped topping
  • 6 ounces strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 16 ounces frozen strawberries, thawed

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons sugar. Press into a 9×13 inch baking dish and bake for 10 minutes. Cool completely.
  2. Beat cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Fold in whipped topping. Spread over cooled crust and refrigerate.
  3. Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Stir in strawberries and chill until slightly thickened. Pour over cream cheese layer and refrigerate until set, about 4 hours.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
