Description

A rich and flavorful rice dish made with a whole stick of butter for ultimate creaminess.

For the Crust:

  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 1 stick (1/2 cup) unsalted butter
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) beef consomme
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) French onion soup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. In a 9×9 inch baking dish, combine rice, beef consomme, French onion soup, garlic powder, and black pepper.
  3. Cut butter into slices and place evenly over the top of the rice mixture.
  4. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  5. Remove foil, stir well, and bake uncovered for an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
