For the Crust:

  • 1 bag (8 oz) sour cream and onion potato chips
  • 2 cups frozen diced hash browns, thawed
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup French onion dip
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Spread the thawed hash browns evenly in the baking dish. Top with a layer of sour cream and onion chips, slightly crushing them.
  3. In a bowl, mix French onion dip, heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the chips and hash browns.
  5. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
  6. Garnish with chopped chives if desired. Serve warm.
