For the Crust:
- 1 bag (8 oz) sour cream and onion potato chips
- 2 cups frozen diced hash browns, thawed
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup French onion dip
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh chives (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Spread the thawed hash browns evenly in the baking dish. Top with a layer of sour cream and onion chips, slightly crushing them.
- In a bowl, mix French onion dip, heavy cream, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and onion powder. Season with salt and pepper.
- Pour the cheese sauce evenly over the chips and hash browns.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until bubbly and golden brown on top.
- Garnish with chopped chives if desired. Serve warm.
