- 6 cups popped popcorn
- 2 cups crispy rice cereal squares
- 2 cups small pretzel twists
- 1 cup candy corn
- 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons light corn syrup
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup fall-colored M&M's
- 1/2 cup peanuts
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 250°F. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine the popcorn, cereal, pretzels, and candy corn. Set aside.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes without stirring.
- Remove from heat and stir in the baking soda and vanilla. The mixture will foam.
- Pour the caramel sauce over the popcorn mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Spread the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and let cool completely. Break into pieces and stir in the M&M's and peanuts.
- Store in an airtight container.
