  • Author: Trusted Blog

Description

A decadent chocolate and peanut butter cake with a gooey, swirled center.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups, chopped

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, mix chocolate cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until well combined. Pour batter into the prepared baking dish.
  3. In another bowl, beat peanut butter, butter, cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Drop spoonfuls of the peanut butter mixture over the cake batter. Use a knife to swirl the peanut butter mixture into the batter.
  5. Sprinkle chopped Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups evenly over the top.
  6. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean. The center will still be slightly gooey.
  7. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
