For the Crust:
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp dried thyme
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter. Add mushrooms and sauté until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
- Slowly whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Add thyme and bring to a simmer.
- Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning sauce over them. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pork is cooked through.
