Juicy pork chops smothered in a creamy mushroom sauce, perfect for a hearty dinner.


Ingredients

For the Crust:

  • 4 bone-in pork chops
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Season pork chops with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork chops and cook for 4-5 minutes per side until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add mushrooms and sauté until tender, about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Sprinkle flour over mushrooms and stir to combine. Cook for 1 minute.
  5. Slowly whisk in chicken broth and heavy cream. Add thyme and bring to a simmer.
  6. Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning sauce over them. Cover and simmer for 10-12 minutes until pork is cooked through.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
