Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla extract.
  3. Gradually mix in flour and salt until just combined. Do not overmix.
  4. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls onto prepared baking sheets, spacing about 2 inches apart.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are lightly golden. Cool on wire rack.
