For the Crust:
- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
- In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, granulated sugar, eggs, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix until just combined.
- Spread the brownie batter evenly into the prepared pan.
- In a separate bowl, combine chopped pecans, brown sugar, corn syrup, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
- Drop spoonfuls of the pecan mixture over the brownie batter and spread gently.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let cool completely before slicing and serving.
