For the Crust:
1 box chocolate cake mix
1 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil
3 eggs
16 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp peppermint extract
1 cup chocolate fudge sauce
1 cup whipped cream
1/2 cup crushed chocolate mint candies
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
Preheat oven to 350°F. Prepare chocolate cake batter according to package instructions using water, oil, and eggs. Pour into two greased 9-inch round pans.
In a separate bowl, beat cream cheese, sugar, and peppermint extract until smooth. Spread evenly over one cake layer in pan.
Bake both cake layers for 25-30 minutes until set. Let cool completely.
Assemble cake by placing plain chocolate layer on plate, topping with cheesecake layer. Drizzle with chocolate fudge sauce.
Frost sides with whipped cream and sprinkle crushed candies on top. Chill for 2 hours before serving.
