Mint Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies

Melt in your mouth Mint Chocolate Chip Snowball Cookies are a treat you won’t be able to resist. So easy to make and packed with mint and chocolate flavor, no one can eat just one.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2/3 cup powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • Green gel food coloring (optional)
  • 1 cup mini chocolate chips
  • Additional powdered sugar for coating

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Beat the butter and powdered sugar together until creamy.
  3. Mix in the flour, salt, and mint extract just until combined.
  4. Add green gel food coloring until desired color is achieved (optional).
  5. Stir in mini chocolate chips.
  6. Chill dough for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Scoop out one tablespoon of dough and form into a ball. Repeat for remaining dough.
  8. Place balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  9. Bake for 7 to 8 minutes.
  10. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
  11. Transfer cookies to a baking sheet lined with powdered sugar and dust with additional powdered sugar.
  12. Once completely cooled, roll cookies one at a time in powdered sugar until fully coated. For extra brightness, double-coat with powdered sugar.

Notes

Using green gel food coloring is optional but gives the cookies a festive look. For best results, chill the dough before baking and double-coat the cookies in powdered sugar for a bright white exterior.
