Description

These apple blondies are the perfect fall treat! They’re packed with fresh apples and warm spices, and they’re so easy to make.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups peeled and chopped apples

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until combined.
  4. Add eggs and vanilla extract to the butter mixture and whisk until smooth.
  5. Stir in the dry ingredients until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chopped apples.
  7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow to cool completely before cutting into squares.

Notes

For best results, use firm baking apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp. Store blondies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. These can also be frozen for longer storage.
