Maple Mustard Glazed Bacon Wrapped Chicken

Sweet and savory chicken breasts wrapped in crispy bacon and glazed with a sticky maple syrup and Dijon mustard sauce.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, patted dry
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 8 to 12 slices of bacon (about 2 to 2 ½ slices per chicken breast)
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • Chopped fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 425˚F.
  2. Season each chicken breast with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Wrap each chicken breast with bacon slices and place seam-side down in a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together maple syrup and Dijon mustard until well combined.
  5. Using a pastry brush, brush each chicken breast with the maple mustard glaze. Reserve some glaze to baste while baking.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes, brushing with glaze a couple of times during baking until internal temperature reaches 165˚F.
  7. To serve, spoon juices over chicken and garnish with parsley.

Notes

You can prepare the chicken and wrap it in bacon ahead of time and refrigerate. Use an instant-read thermometer for best doneness accuracy. Serve with rice, noodles, or roasted vegetables.
