Honey Butter

Fluffy, creamy honey butter made with just three simple ingredients, perfect for spreading on muffins, pancakes, dinner rolls, and biscuits.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, room temperature (227g)
  • 1/4 cup honey (60mL)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the butter on medium speed with a hand mixer or mix well by hand for about 1 minute, or until smooth and a bit fluffy.
  2. Add 1/4 cup honey and salt. Beat until well combined.
  3. Transfer to a serving bowl.
  4. Serve with an additional drizzle of honey and sprinkle of salt over top, if desired.

Notes

Use softened butter for easy whipping; set it out at least 30 minutes before making. If honey has crystallized, gently warm it in a pot of warm water to liquefy. To easily measure honey, lightly oil the measuring cup. If you don’t have a mixer, whisk softened butter and honey by hand, though it won’t be as fluffy. For honey-swirled butter, fold in an extra tablespoon of honey after mixing.
