Knorr Spinach Dip

A classic creamy and flavorful spinach dip made with Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix, sour cream, mayonnaise, frozen spinach, water chestnuts, and scallions. Perfect for parties, served chilled with bread, crackers, or vegetables.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 10 ounces frozen chopped spinach, thawed, drained and squeezed dry
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 package (1.4 ounces) Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix
  • 8 ounces water chestnuts, drained and finely chopped (optional)
  • 4 scallions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the thawed, drained spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, Knorr Vegetable Recipe Mix, chopped water chestnuts, scallions, Worcestershire sauce, and ground nutmeg.
  2. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are combined.
  3. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Transfer the mixture to an airtight container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, up to 48 hours, to allow flavors to meld.
  5. Before serving, give the dip a good stir and serve chilled with bread, crackers, or sliced vegetables.

Notes

1. For a lighter version, use low-fat sour cream or plain Greek yogurt and a light or olive oil-based mayonnaise. 2. If using fresh spinach, steam about 1 pound until wilted, then squeeze out moisture thoroughly. 3. The dip can be made a day ahead for enhanced flavor.
