Instant Fruit Rabdi in Minutes! Custard Fruit Salad Recipe

A quick and delicious instant fruit rabdi custard fruit salad made with custard powder and fresh fruits, served chilled as a refreshing dessert.

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons custard powder
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/2 cup mixed fresh fruits (apple, banana, grapes, pomegranate, orange)
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped nuts (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon rose essence (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix custard powder with a little cold milk to make a smooth slurry without lumps.
  2. Boil the remaining milk in a pan, then reduce the flame and add sugar; stir until dissolved.
  3. Slowly add the custard slurry to the boiling milk while stirring continuously.
  4. Cook on low heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture thickens to a rabdi-like consistency.
  5. Remove from heat and add cardamom powder and rose essence; mix well.
  6. Allow the custard to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  7. Before serving, cut the fresh fruits into small pieces and add to the chilled custard.
  8. Garnish with chopped nuts if desired and serve chilled.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe fruits for the best flavor. Adjust sugar to taste, and ensure continuous stirring while cooking custard to avoid lumps or burning. Refrigerate well for enhanced taste.
