A quick and delicious instant fruit rabdi recipe combining custard with fresh fruit to create a creamy, refreshing salad perfect for a rapid dessert.

  • 2 cups milk
  • 2 tablespoons custard powder
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 1/4 cup chopped apple
  • 1/4 cup chopped banana
  • 1/4 cup chopped pineapple
  • 1/4 cup chopped papaya
  • 1/4 cup grapes, halved
  • 1/4 cup chopped mango
  • 1/4 teaspoon cardamom powder
  • Chopped nuts (almonds, pistachios) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat milk in a pan and bring it to a boil.
  2. Mix custard powder with a little cold milk to make a smooth paste.
  3. Add the custard paste to the boiling milk and stir continuously to avoid lumps.
  4. Add sugar and cook on low heat until the custard thickens, stirring occasionally.
  5. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
  6. Add all the chopped fruits and cardamom powder to the custard and mix gently.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving chilled.
  8. Garnish with chopped nuts before serving.

Notes
