Homemade Italian Dressing

A classic homemade Italian dressing with a tangy, herb-infused flavor perfect for salads, marinades, and more.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the olive oil, red wine vinegar, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and honey until well combined.
  2. Stir in the minced garlic, oregano, basil, thyme, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes if using.
  3. Taste and adjust seasoning as needed. Transfer to a jar or bottle and shake well before serving. Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.

Notes

Shake well before each use as ingredients may separate. This dressing can also be used as a marinade for chicken or vegetables.
