Heaven on Earth Cake

A decadent layered cake with angel food cake, pudding, whipped cream, and cherries for a heavenly dessert.

For the Crust:

  • 1 (10.75 oz) prepared angel food cake, cubed
  • 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
  • 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
  • 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
  2. Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
  3. Layer half of the angel food cake cubes in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
  4. Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cake layer, then top with half of the cherry pie filling.
  5. Repeat the layers with remaining cake, pudding, and cherries.
  6. Sprinkle with sliced almonds if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

You can customize the seasonings to taste.
