A decadent layered cake with angel food cake, pudding, whipped cream, and cherries for a heavenly dessert.

For the Crust:
- 1 (10.75 oz) prepared angel food cake, cubed
- 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 2 cups cold milk
- 1 (8 oz) container frozen whipped topping, thawed
- 1 (21 oz) can cherry pie filling
- 1/4 cup sliced almonds (optional)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the pudding mix and milk until thickened, about 2 minutes.
- Fold in the whipped topping until fully combined.
- Layer half of the angel food cake cubes in the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish.
- Spread half of the pudding mixture over the cake layer, then top with half of the cherry pie filling.
- Repeat the layers with remaining cake, pudding, and cherries.
- Sprinkle with sliced almonds if desired. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
