- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 pita bread rounds
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 large tomato, sliced
- 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup tzatziki sauce
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Add chicken strips and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook chicken for 5-7 minutes per side until fully cooked and slightly charred.
- Warm pita bread in the skillet or microwave for 20 seconds.
- Assemble gyros by placing chicken on pita, topping with lettuce, tomato, onion, and a generous drizzle of tzatziki sauce.
- Fold pita around fillings and serve immediately.
