Garlic Bharta

A flavorful yet simple Indian side dish, perfect for festive gatherings. Can be served with steamed rice and papad.

  • 2 tbsp P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard oil
  • 1 tbsp P Mark Desi Ghee
  • 1012 garlic cloves
  • 3 dried red chillies
  • 2 medium onions
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • Chopped coriander

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil in a pan until it releases a fragrant aroma.
  2. Add dried red chillies and sauté for 1 minute.
  3. Lower the heat and add garlic cloves. Cook until they are golden brown (about 6-7 minutes).
  4. Add sliced onions and sauté for another 3-4 minutes until they are translucent.
  5. Remove from heat, add salt and chopped coriander, and mash everything together until well combined.

Notes

This recipe can also be made with roasted garlic for a different flavor. Serve with steamed rice and crispy papad for an enhanced experience.
