Garlic Bharta

A flavorful and simple Indian dish made with roasted garlic, onions, and spices, perfect for festive occasions and served with rice.

  • 2 tbsp P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard oil
  • 1 tbsp P Mark Desi Ghee
  • 1012 garlic cloves
  • 3 dried red chillies
  • 2 onions
  • 1 tbsp salt
  • Chopped coriander to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat mustard oil until it releases a fragrant aroma, then add the dried red chillies.
  2. Sauté for 1 minute, lower the heat, and add the garlic cloves.
  3. Cook the garlic for 6-7 minutes or until golden brown.
  4. Add the sliced onions and sauté for another 3-4 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, add salt and chopped coriander.
  6. Mash everything together until well combined.
  7. Serve hot with steamed rice, crispy papad, and a dollop of ghee.

Notes

Use mustard oil for authentic flavor and roast garlic until golden for the best taste. Serve with rice or papad for a complete meal.
