For the Crust:
- 1 medium head cabbage, chopped
- 4 slices bacon, chopped
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tablespoon butter
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a large skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving drippings in the pan.
- Add butter to the bacon drippings and melt. Sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Add chopped cabbage, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine.
- Cook cabbage, stirring occasionally, until tender and slightly caramelized, about 15-20 minutes.
- Stir in reserved bacon and serve warm.
