Juicy pork chops smothered in a rich French onion sauce with melted cheese.

For the Crust:
- 4 bone-in pork chops
- 2 large yellow onions, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tsp thyme
- 1 cup shredded Gruyere cheese
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- Season pork chops with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chops for 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and add onions. Cook for 15 minutes until caramelized, stirring occasionally.
- Add garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and beef broth. Simmer for 5 minutes until slightly reduced.
- Return pork chops to the skillet, spooning onions over them. Top with shredded Gruyere cheese.
- Cover and cook on low heat for 5 minutes until cheese is melted and pork reaches 145°F internally.
