- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 24 mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, unwrapped
- 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
- 48 candy eyes
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, mix together peanut butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
- Roll dough into 1-inch balls and place on prepared baking sheet, spacing about 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until cookies are set and lightly golden around the edges.
- Immediately press a mini Reese's Peanut Butter Cup into the center of each cookie while still warm.
- Allow cookies to cool completely on the baking sheet.
- Using melted chocolate, pipe spider legs from the Reese's cup outward onto the cookie.
- Attach two candy eyes to each Reese's cup with a small dot of melted chocolate.
- Let chocolate set before serving.
Notes
Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. For best results, ensure cookies are completely cool before adding chocolate decorations to prevent melting. You can use milk or dark chocolate chips instead of semi-sweet if preferred.
