Description

A quick and flavorful stir fry made with ground turkey and homemade teriyaki sauce, perfect for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp minced ginger
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Sesame seeds for garnish
  • Green onions for garnish

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, garlic, and ginger to make the teriyaki sauce.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Stir into the teriyaki sauce and set aside.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground turkey and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  4. Add bell pepper, broccoli, and carrot to the skillet. Stir-fry for 4-5 minutes until vegetables are tender-crisp.
  5. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the turkey and vegetables. Stir well and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens.
  6. Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
