Deep-Fried Strawberry Cheesecake Stuffed Wonton Bites

Crispy wonton wrappers stuffed with creamy strawberry cheesecake filling, deep-fried to golden perfection. Perfect bite-sized dessert served with whipped cream or extra strawberry jam.

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ¼ cup powdered sugar
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ¼ cup strawberry jam
  • 2024 wonton wrappers
  • Water, for sealing
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • Fresh strawberries, diced (optional)
  • Whipped cream and extra strawberry jam, for serving (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, beat the cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy. Mix in diced strawberries if using, or prepare to add a small dollop of strawberry jam to each portion.
  2. Place a teaspoon of filling in the center of each wonton wrapper. Add a small dollop of strawberry jam. Brush edges with water, fold into a triangle, and seal tightly. Repeat with remaining wrappers.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet to 350°F (175°C). Fry wontons in batches, 1-2 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Drain on paper towels.
  4. Serve warm with whipped cream, extra strawberry jam for dipping, and fresh strawberry slices.

Notes

Ensure oil is at 350°F to prevent sogginess and bursting. Seal wontons tightly to avoid filling leaks during frying. Dust with powdered sugar for extra sweetness. Make ahead and freeze uncooked wontons for quick frying later.
