Description
This delicious beef stew is loaded with potatoes and carrots and slow cooked all day!
Ingredients

- 2 pounds beef stew meat, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 4 carrots, sliced
- 3 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine flour, salt, and pepper. Add beef pieces and toss to coat.
- Place coated beef in the crock pot.
- Add remaining ingredients: beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, bay leaf, paprika, carrots, potatoes, and onion.
- Stir to combine all ingredients.
- Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours or on high for 4-6 hours, until beef is tender.
- Remove bay leaf before serving.
Notes
For best results, brown the beef in a skillet before adding to the crock pot for deeper flavor. Stew can be stored in refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months. Thicken with cornstarch slurry if desired.
