For the Crust:
- 1 lb button mushrooms, cleaned and halved
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Dip each mushroom half in the flour mixture, then the beaten eggs, and finally the breadcrumbs mixed with garlic, thyme, and parmesan.
- Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat. Fry the coated mushrooms in batches until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side.
- Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
