For the Crust:

  • 1 box vanilla cake mix
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, orange juice, vegetable oil, eggs, and orange zest. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  4. Let the cake cool completely. In a separate bowl, mix whipped topping, vanilla extract, and powdered sugar until smooth.
  5. Spread the whipped topping mixture over the cooled cake. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
