Cranberry Orange Relish with Orange-Flavored Liqueur

A fresh and tangy cranberry orange relish that combines tart cranberries with sweet orange and a hint of orange-flavored liqueur, perfect for holiday meals.

  • 1 (12 ounce) package fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 large orange, peeled and quartered
  • 1/4 cup orange-flavored liqueur (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place cranberries, sugar, and orange quarters in a food processor.
  2. Pulse until finely chopped but not pureed, scraping down sides as needed.
  3. Transfer mixture to a bowl and stir in orange-flavored liqueur if using.
  4. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.

Notes

For best flavor, prepare the relish a day ahead and chill overnight. The orange-flavored liqueur adds a subtle depth but can be omitted for a non-alcoholic version.
