Triple Chocolate Fudge Turtle Cake

A decadent chocolate cake layered with caramel and pecans, inspired by classic turtle candies.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a bundt pan.
  2. In a large bowl, mix cake mix, water, oil, and eggs until smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  3. Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, then invert onto a wire rack to cool completely.
  4. Once cooled, drizzle caramel sauce over the cake, allowing it to drip down the sides.
  5. Sprinkle chopped pecans evenly over the top.
  6. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until steaming. Pour over chocolate chips in a bowl, let sit for 1 minute, then stir until smooth. Drizzle chocolate ganache over the cake.
  7. Let glaze set before serving.

Notes

For best results, use a thick caramel sauce to prevent it from running off the cake. Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days. This cake is perfect for special occasions and can be garnished with extra pecans or a dusting of cocoa powder.
