A quick and flavorful stir fry featuring tender beef slices and caramelized onions in a savory sauce.

For the Crust:
- 1 lb flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 large onions, sliced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 tsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
Instructions
1. Prepare the Crust:
- In a bowl, mix the sliced beef with soy sauce, oyster sauce, sugar, and black pepper. Let marinate for 10 minutes.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a wok or large pan over high heat. Add the onions and stir-fry until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5 minutes. Remove and set aside.
- Add remaining oil to the pan. Stir-fry the marinated beef for 2-3 minutes until browned but still slightly pink.
- Return the onions to the pan. Mix cornstarch with water and pour into the pan, stirring until the sauce thickens.
- Serve hot over steamed rice.
