Cheesy Ground Beef Pasta Skillet

A quick and hearty one-pan meal with ground beef, pasta, and melted cheese.

For the Crust:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 8 oz pasta (such as penne or rotini)
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

1. Prepare the Crust:

  1. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat. Drain excess fat.
  2. Add diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Cook until onion is soft, about 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in tomato sauce, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and water. Bring to a simmer.
  4. Add uncooked pasta to the skillet, stirring to combine. Cover and simmer for 12-15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until pasta is tender.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheese over the top, cover, and let melt for 2-3 minutes before serving.
